I've been working on the toes of these comfy house slippers that I've been making and rediscovering how to do tidy decreases.
Tips:
It's the one where you SSK but you knit through the wrong side ( back of the loop) on right hand side of the toe and SSK the correct way ( through) the front on the left side. I think it was in the Cast-on podcast like 15 or so years ago.
Brenda Dayne does a wonderful job thinking through her knitting. Her podcast, particularly the sweaters when she's figuring out the details of how you make the knitting more smooth, really helped me think through knitting patterns, and problem solve in a more effective way.
